Most cladding problems on the coast trace back to water getting in somewhere and not being able to get out. A failed sealant joint, a flashing that was never lapped correctly, or a wall with no drainage cavity will all show up eventually as stained finishes, soft trim, or rot in the framing behind. Caught early, these are repairs. Left alone, they become rebuilds.
We start by finding out what is actually happening behind the surface rather than just covering it up. That means tracing the moisture path, checking the water-resistive barrier and flashings, and confirming whether the structure is still sound. From there we repair failed sections, re-flash windows and penetrations, replace rotted sheathing, and reinstate the drainage detailing the wall should have had.
We work across fiber cement, cedar, vinyl, engineered wood, and stucco, matching finishes so repairs blend in. When a wall is too far gone or was never drained to begin with, we will say so plainly and walk you through a proper rainscreen re-clad instead of selling you a patch that will fail again next winter.
